Town Clerk Vacancy

Leiston-cum-Sizewell Town Council are seeking a full time Town Clerk for the Council to work as part of a team of office staff providing efficient and effective administration support to the Town Council.

The Clerk to the Town Council will be required to carry out all the functions required by law and to ensure the Council is acting within current regulations.

The post will involve working effectively with local partners, businesses and organisations in order to achieve positive outcomes for the local community.  This also includes working closely with Sizewell C and other energy projects. This role will include attending Council and Committee meetings in the evenings, preparing agendas, reports and minutes of meetings.

We are looking for someone who is a strong communicator, well organised and efficient in their duties and financially aware to manage resources.  We would ideally like an experienced Clerk, or someone who has experience working in local government.
