Dear Sir/Madam,
You are hereby summonsed to attend
the ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING of the LEISTON-cum-SIZEWELL TOWN COUNCIL to be
held virtually on Zoom on TUESDAY
16 JUNE 2020, at 7.30 p.m.
PUBLIC PARTICIPATION: Members of the public are welcome to attend
this meeting and can email the Clerk (townclerk@leistontowncouncil.gov.uk
) to receive an invite. Members of the public will be welcome to watch the proceedings but the AGM is a formal and short meeting with
no public speaking slot. The next meeting where the public can speak will be 7
July 2020.
1. Election
of Chairman – Cllr Last in the Chair as acting Chairman for this item
2. The
Chairman’s Report for the past year will not be an agenda item this year and
will appear in the next magazine instead for better circulation.
3. Appointment
of Vice-Chairman.
4. To
consider membership of Committees, Working Parties and
representatives on outside bodies.
5. To
appoint signatories for cheques.
6. Appoint
member to be responsible for verifying bank reconciliations in accordance with
Finance Order 2.2
7. To
approve use of variable Direct Debits in respect of all utilities, software
contracts, NEST pensions, rates and photocopier for
further two years.
8. To
approve the continued use of BACS transfer for all wages, salaries, pensions and Film Company Invoices for further two years and
for all invoices, where the facility is available, until Covid regulations cease.
This will be reviewed with advice from SALC in due course to become a permanent
procedure with Standing Orders amended accordingly.
9. Loan
of Artefacts to the Long Shop Steam Museum and the Primary School.
