P4. Questions to the Chairman
Cllr Bailey asked if the Remembrance Parade was going ahead
this year, the Clerk hoped so and had already booked the rolling road closure
with SCC. Cllr Geater asked about the
vandalism issues at the Town Council office.
The Clerk advised the Police are involved and it is hoped the culprits would
be caught soon. Cllr Boast asked when
the resurfacing of Westward Ho would be rescheduled as the signage was
incorrect and confusing. It was noted
this would now be done 16-20 August.
Cllr Woolf advised the Sizewell C latest consultation on the water
supply (3-27 August) and would draft a response for consideration. Cllr Levermore asked for the bus shelters to
be cleaned, the lime tree spurs in Post Office Square to be cut back and
Sylvester Road car park to be tidied.
Cllr Morsley complained that the footpaths are overgrown and should be
part of the Grounds Maintenance contract.
The Clerk confirmed this is within the contract for Norse to clear
footpaths when requested as one-offs as required. Cllr Harle commented that the cycle path to
Sizewell Gap was overgrown and would report on the Highways reporting tool.
