34. Apologies

36. Minutes
It was proposed by Cllr
Cooper, seconded by Cllr Levermore, and agreed that the minutes for the meeting
of 06 June 2023 be signed as a true record.
37. Assets
Waterloo Centre: Cllr Cooper reported
that he was investigating an appropriate entry system at the Centre that would
allow users to be in the building and have the building secure to unwanted
visitors, and users to leave the building secure until the Caretaker can arrive.
Community Centre: Cllr Cooper was getting
quotations in relation to refurbishment of the entrance door, window repair, flooring,
and lighting.
Council Offices: Cllr Cooper reported
on progress to date. Painting of the
exterior and interior is ongoing, office carpet has been laid. Cllr Cooper continues to investigate a stable
door for the main office and is assessing the fire alarm system which is
currently linked to the library next door.
Cllr Levermore suggested having a doorbell which the Town Clerk will
investigate.
38. Finance
a) Audit Report by
Heelis and Lodge. It was proposed by Cllr Levermore and seconded
by Cllr Last and agreed that the Audit Report be approved.
b) Annual Governance
and Accountability Report (AGAR) 2022-2023
It was proposed by Cllr
Levermore, seconded by Cllr Cooper and agreed that Section 1 AGAR Report be
approved and signed by the Chair and Town Clerk.
It was proposed by Cllr
Morsley, seconded by Cllr Last and agreed that Section 2 AGAR Report be
approved and signed by the Chair and Town Clerk.
The Chair and Town
Clerk duly signed the AGAR report which will be published on the Town Council
website.
39. Questions
to Chair
It was proposed by Cllr
Last and seconded by Cllr Morsley that the Town Clerk endeavour to convene a face
to face meeting with the Suffolk County Council accountable person for Highways
to discuss progress, ahead of the Highways Working Group scheduled for 18th
July.
It was proposed by Cllr
Last and seconded by Cllr Boast and agreed that the Town Clerk follow up a
complaint regarding planning application DC/22/3825/FUL, 67 Kings Road Leiston
Suffolk IP16 4DA which has recently been approved by East Suffolk Council. A nearby resident has complained about the
continual noise for the newly installed Air Conditioning Unit.
Cllr Levermore reminded
everyone attending the visit to SZA on Monday 26th June to arrive in
good time and have their ID available.

Last and seconded by Cllr Boast and agreed that Cllr Cooper attend the
forthcoming SZA and SZB Stakeholder Group in the Chair’s absence.
