Welcome to the Parish of Leiston-cum-Sizewell situated on the Suffolk coastline and countryside, serving a population of circa 6,000 residents. Leiston is a unique Suffolk town to live, work, visit and enjoy. Proud of its world-class engineering and industrial heritage, it continues to develop as the host parish for Sizewell C.
It is a rural town located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The hamlet of Sizewell boasts one of Suffolk’s best-loved beaches. Leiston has an array of attractions and shops to offer.
It is home to unique heritage attractions: The Long Shop Museum, celebrating the Garrett Works, one of Great Britain’s finest Victorian agricultural and steam engine production lines; Leiston Film Theatre – Suffolk’s oldest purpose-built cinema and the impressive monastic ruins of Leiston Abbey.
The Council offers many amenities for the town, and provides local services, help and support for residents, local business, organisations, and events.
