Council is currently reviewing the 2017 Made Neighbourhood Plan.   If you would like to be involved in future consultation events please contact the Office.   

The Neighbourhood Plan was put together by residents and the Town Council to chart the land use, leisure and amenity plans for Leiston over 15 years leading up to 2029 and, with a vote of confidence from the electorate, was formally adopted as part of the District Council’s Local Plan in February 2017. It has now become a planning document that developers have to pay due regard to.

The plan took four years to put together and involved 25 residents who gave their time to compile it as well as the many residents who attended consultation events and gave their views. The Town Council remain extremely grateful to them all for their time and help. This document will be extremely useful now as the Town Council, and East Suffolk Council and the Leiston Community work together to continue improving and enhancing Leiston over the years ahead.
